This academic work by Viraj Dharmeshbhai Panchal was a part of the studio ‘Re-Contained Past’. This studio was located at the intersection of Exhibition Design, Craft and Culture, and System Thinking. The intention of this studio was to develop a travelling exhibition of the vernacular furniture of Gujarat. The theme of this academic work was the relationship of human postures and vernacular furniture. It was titled Aakar and depicted the idea through the use of light and shadow as design guidelines.
