This academic work by Aditi Jesalbhai Shah was a part of the studio ‘Re-Contained Past’. This studio was located at the intersection of Exhibition Design, Craft and Culture, and System Thinking. The intention of this studio was to develop a travelling exhibition of the vernacular furniture of Gujarat. The exhibition “The Gest of Time” talks about how one piece of furniture is used for several activities. This exhibition talks about the multiple activities for which furniture is used during different time periods of the day.
