This academic work by Dhwani Mehul Shah was a part of the studio ‘Re-Contained Past’. This studio was located at the intersection of Exhibition Design, Craft and Culture, and System Thinking. The intention of this studio was to develop a travelling exhibition of the vernacular furniture of Gujarat. This exhibition was titled Atithi and focussed on the types of furniture used as a welcoming gesture. Shipping containers were used as the design site.
