The first field visit was conducted in the Majha and Doaba regions of Punjab that lies in the north western part of Punjab. The visit focused on Amritsar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala and Ludhiana districts. During this field visit, a total of 317 furniture pieces were mapped by covering a distance of 3138 kilometres.
