This academic work is a thesis report produced by Pankaj Soni as a part of a Directed Research Project, that was conducted as part of the research of vernacular furniture of Rajasthan. This study focussed on studying the kathatara, a type of larder that is unique to Barmer and Jaisalmer districts in Rajasthan. This thesis was guided by Jay Thakkar.
