This takhat originally belonged to the Nawab of Dujana. Upon the dissolution of the princely states, the furniture in the Palace was auctioned off by the government. The person who bought it later donated the takhat to the Jatt Dharamshala, where it was kept in the entrance foyer. Because of the unique design and origin of use, it was also called a takhatposh.
