These takhat, alternately called palang in this house, were gifts given by the groom’s family during the wedding of the granddaughter in the family. The wooden frames were intricately carved with metal embossing and mirror embellishments. The seats of both benches were finished with colourful laminate sheets and their turned wooden legs were painted in bright colours.
