This sandook was made using neem wood. This was one of the few examples with intricate woodwork on it. The front panels of the sandook were decorated with fretwork panels which were painted in a silver colour to highlight them. Similar fretwork patterns were also made on the top boards. The centre of the top board originally had prints of gods encased in glass, which had broken off.
