Cabinets called sandook are unique to Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar which are geographically closer to Punjab where such sandook are common. We were told by the woman of the house that the sandook had been given to her mother-in-law by her family as part of her wedding trousseau. She now used it to store mattresses, quilts and winter clothes.
