This sandook was found in the same residence as the previous example and belonged to the owner’s mother. She had stored valuable papers, books, and jewellery because of which a lock had been used on the sandook. Sandook are generally raised up from the floor and sometimes the space underneath is used to store smaller items, like caskets, as seen in this example.
