This is one of the few examples of manja with black lacquered legs recorded in use in houses of Punjab. It was gifted to the owner as a part of her daaj (bridal trousseau). An old bed sheet was wrapped and stitched around the webbing to protect it from getting soiled and was used daily for sleeping.
