In public spaces like chaupal, a number of khuti are fixed on each wall at small distances from each other. Walking sticks or scarfs used by the men are hung on khuti after entering the chaupal for socialising, attending meetings or playing games. This khuti was painted recently to match the aesthetics of other furniture in the chaupal.
