Aali | Wall niche

This aali was built on the wall outside the verandah of the house. The crown of this aali was in the shape of a pointed arch, resembling the silhouette of a dome in the traditional architecture of a mosque in the region. Earthen lamps filled with oil and wick were lit on auspicious occasions.
