A perforated surface called jaali was fixed on the wall of this parinda. Such jaali were intended to maintain a visual connection between the private and public spaces of the haveli. The haveli was in a dilapidated condition and was no longer inhabited. Unused terracotta pots were kept by neighbours in the parinda.
