A mudda made of rice stalks is common to the Mewat region of Haryana. The rice stalks are dried and twisted to form a thick rope, which is then coiled to form the seat. Unlike similar floor seats in Punjab that were decorated with coloured ropes and beads, the ones in Haryana were devoid of any form of decoration.
